We had both 60 plus degree weather this week and snow – it’s very confusing to me, but it did make me realize how ready I am for spring to be here permanently. There’s not much else for me to share this week – I’ve been working hard on some advocacy to try to stop the government from cutting the Medicaid budget (I wrote a Substack post about why this is so important to me!), so there have been lots of late nights this week and not a ton of free time. I have tickets to see a show at the Benedum on Saturday night, but I’m hoping that Sunday can be a lazy, relaxing day at home.

J. Crew has 30% off a bunch of their full-price styles, and there are a lot of good things included! I love the bright pop of color in this smocked dress so much. There are also quite a few cute floral dresses – like this smocked poplin one, this puff sleeve one, and this empire waist one. This chain link dress is perfect for wearing now, while it’s still chilly out. And I have had my eye on this sweater tee for quite a while now!

Staying Friends as Friends Have Kids

I thought this advice column about how to stay friends with your friends who are having kids (when you’re not) is great. I’m definitely at the age where most of my friends have kids, and it does change the dynamic! You have to figure out how to allow your friendship to change along with the changing circumstances, and it can feel hard sometimes. This advice in this column is great.

Lip Peel and Lip Balm Duo

I’ve been using this overnight lip peel and lip balm combination for about a week now, and honestly, it’s great! The peel is a roll on – you just apply, let dry, and then cover with a balm before you go to bed. I’ve been waking up with noticeably softer lips. I’m so impressed!

French Onion Orecchiette (NYTimes gift link)

Wow, this french onion pasta recipe just looks amazing?! I love the flavor of caramelized onions, but never thought about basing a pasta dish around them. This seems relatively easy (though not quick, because caramelizing onions takes time…), but so delicious. I need to try it!
