September was an absolute whirlwind of a month that totally flew by. I had a little bit of a harder time picking out last month’s favorites, only because a lot of the month is a bit of a blur from how busy it was! But there were still a few things that did stand out from last month – these were my September favorites.
Bisou Balm
I can never really resist a lip product, and after seeing a ton of targeted ads for the Bisou Balm across TikTok and Instagram, I knew I had to try it. It’s the most sheerly-tinted balm that’s also matte – basically, it’s supposed to make your lips look like they’ve just been kissed. It looks so natural but in the best possible way.
Oura Ring
I’ll have a full review post coming on my Oura ring soon – it’s a health tracker ring, but focuses more on your sleep and your body’s readiness and resilience versus a focus on activity level (though it does also take that into account). I’ve loved getting more information on how restful my sleep is (and how much I’m really getting), and it’s a great reminder to me that I need to prioritize rest!
The Third Gilmore Girl by Kelly Bishop
I am just such a huge Gilmore Girls fan that I knew I’d love this book, but I ended up loving it even more than I thought that I would! I learned so much about Kelly Bishop’s life, and about her time on Broadway, which I personally loved. But honestly, I was mostly just impressed by her as a person – her determination and tenacity. I definitely recommend this on audiobook, she is an incredible narrator.
Hotel Lobby Hand Wash
I just love everything that Hotel Lobby does, and their new hand wash is no exception. They did an amazing job translating their iconic candle scents into hand wash – it really lingers, but in a nice way, not an overpowering on. And it’s so nice and luxurious and lathers perfectly. Plus, the glass bottle looks so nice on my counter, and I love that it’s refillable.
Lion Pose Unspotted 4X
Lion Pose was kind enough to send their Unspotted serum to me, and I’ve been testing it out for over a month now. I use it every other night, alternating it with my prescription retinol. I have been super impressed! It’s really effective at fading my post-acne marks, and just helping with my skin texture in general. I will definitely be repurchasing this when I run out.
Equestrian Toile Nap Dress
Of course, I had to include the Equestrian Toile Nap Dress! Felicity was always my favorite American Girl doll, so I have been a horse girl in spirit for many, many years. This dress is a nice subtle nod to that, and the colors are perfect for fall. I love it!
