It's been a while since I've done a beauty post, and I have some new products I've been using and really loving! Truthfully, I often stick with the same tried-and-true products, but I've been trying to branch out more and try new things. So today I have a mix of face, eye, and lip products that I've added to my rotation.
I've always loved perfume - when I was working in the office, I'd wear it every day without fail, and even now that I'm working from home I'll sometimes put it on during the day just for me! For years, I was a "signature scent" person - I'd wear the same fragrance day in and day out. Recently, though, I've been branching out and exploring new-to-me scents. Over the last year or so, I've built up a nice little collection of perfumes that I've been having a lot of fun with. These are my current favorites!
A few months ago, I started to slowly make some changes to my routine. I cut down on the number of times I use strong acids, and made sure I was giving my skin enough moisture. I still have oily skin, so I have to be careful not to add too much moisture, but I don't want to overly strip my skin, either. And I'm really happy with the routine I've come up with! So I'm going to share what I use in the morning and in the evening, and the changes I've made.
June is here now, which means that I'm back to being extra-vigilant about my sunscreen. I wear SPF on my face year-round, but once the sun is out consistently, I make sure that my whole body is protected anytime I'm outside. I've tried a lot of different options to find my absolute favorites for my face and body, and thought I'd share them today!
I don't know if I technically have rosacea, but I definitely have underlying redness in my skin. So while I've definitely adopted a "less is more" approach to my everyday makeup look, if I try to go foundation-free, my face looks pretty flushed by the end of the day no matter what I do. I'm always looking for easy products that don't feel like a full face of makeup but still help tone down the inevitable redness - and I've found a new favorite in the Dr. Jart Cicapair Cream.
I have a lot of hair, and it's very thick, so I am always looking for new products to help protect it, and to make styling it easier. I'm also not someone who wants to put a ton of time or effort into my hair regularly - I tend to go for the same three or so looks, and I want any prep and styling to be as simple as possible. I was browsing hair products on Sephora when I saw this Living Proof StyleLab Blowout Spray, which is a head protectant plus styling spray in one! I instantly ordered and have been pretty obsessed with it ever since.
Over and over, we hear that Vitamin C is one of the most important things to add to your skincare routine - especially when you're in your 30s! - to help brighten and even skin tone, but it's also the one I have struggled the most to find for my skincare needs! But I've been using the Timeless Skin Care Vitamin C and E Ferulic Acid Serum since early this year now, and I've been really impressed.

When it comes to my makeup lately, I've been loving things that are easy to apply, look natural, but last. I've been using a lot less powder products and a lot more cream and liquid ones, especially for blush. It just looks a little more subtle and effortless to me! So when I kept seeing this Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly Lip and Cheek Stain, I knew that I wanted to try it. And I'm glad I did - it's great!
